counting back the 14 days
when i started back at one
i wonder if this was the right thing
with what i have begun
i know these are the corny
misbegotten thoughts
of a girl who's confused
in a world that she has lost
but i am just a girl
with only a heart to guide her
a head to keep her sane
or insane if you would prefer
and friends to keep her grounded
i can fall back into old habits
let everything die hard
but i won't let it all end
with one tiny glass shard
my heart will not be broken
nothing can stand in my way
im fearless, yet terrified
