my icy heart shatters
into a million crystal splinters
spilling onto the floor
reaching out to touch them
skin is pierced
one drop of blood falls to the floor
crying on the inside
never knowing how to act
only wanting to feel
anything but numbness
so i prove to myself
that i can feel.
but now i'm not sure that i like it
